Winter Holiday

Happy Holidays everyone! Whew!  What a busy, term!
Santa's almost here...what should we expect?

This term has been great academically. We had a lot of assessments this term, and the students in Year 3 and 4 have worked very hard. I would like to thank all the parents for providing them with support throughout the term. We have worked very hard, but we have also had time to have some fun. We visited the MIAT Museum, we had our Christmas show and we went ice-skating.

In IPC we finished our unit - 'All about fashion'. As part of the unit children had the opportunity to knit their own scarf. They made some beautiful scarves. Well done, you did a wonderful job.

In Numeracy we’ve been busy practicing our numeracy skills, working with fractions and decimals, money and measurement. As always, we are learning while having fun, either working in small groups or all together as a class.

In Literacy we have been focusing on writing stories. Students learnt to identify and write about the characters, setting, plot, main idea and supporting details of a story. They learnt to communicate ideas and information through creative writing for a variety of purposes such as: informing, persuading, influencing, responding, and creating

Before the winter holiday we had our Christmas show. It was a big success! The children looked great and enjoyed it a lot. A performance to be proud of. We hope the parents enjoyed it as much as we did.

We finished our last week of school with some Christmas arts and crafts activities.

As the year ends, I would like to send my best wishes for a fabulous winter holiday. I hope you all have lots of fun. Have a happy holiday!
