Classical music show!

Last week the pupils enjoyed an interactive music show by performer Stephen Baron. The Pre-Primary show was based on the story Barbar the elephant, while the Primary show was based on the music of Haydn. Both shows used many colourful props, included amazing piano playing by Stephen himself and were very entertaining.  We also received this lovely feedback from Stephen following his performance: "What a lovely bunch of enthusiastic children, responsive, inquisitive, good listeners, helpful and exuberant - as happy children always are! Hats off to the teachers!". Thank-you Stephen!  Parents can see more photos of the performances in the photo gallery.

STAM Museum find their mystery builder!

Over the last few weeks the Primary classes have been learning all about buildings and villages through their current IPC unit. After an Entry point visit to the STAM museum in Ghent, Rotem was inspired to return with his family. Part of the exhibition allows visitors to build with Lego blocks, and after many hours work Rotem built the Ghelamco Arena. Over the following days the staff at the museum were so impressed with his structure that they tried to find the mystery builder! After another class visit to the STAM today, Miss Jenny proudly told a staff member that Rotem had built the structure, without knowing about the search that had been going on! The staff were so excited to have finally found their mystery builder! Well done Rotem - it is a Lego masterpiece! See the story here

#WeHelpNepal

On Wednesday ISG had a coffee morning fundraiser. Following the devastating earthquake in Nepal we all decided that we would like to donate the money raised to helping the aid effort. The pupils were very happy to be able to do something little to help the Nepalese people. When he went home, Aryan also wrote this thoughtful note that he would also like us to send to Nepal. All in all, we raised €204.20. Thank-you to everyone who contributed. Parents can see more photos in the photo gallery.

School assembly

It was lovely to see all the children so happy and excited to return to school after the Easter break. Today we had our third ISG assembly. The two Headmaster awards were given to Matin and Vedant. They were both recognised for their thoughtfulness and hard-working attitude. Well done! Aryan's name also got pulled out of the Golden box! Aryan was spotted asking a girl who was by herself if she wanted to join in his game. Fantastic Aryan! Last of all, Arshita performed to the whole song. She had practiced a lot and learnt all the lyrics to the song 'Let it go' and she sang it beautifully. Parents can see more photos in the gallery.

Easter Fair

What a great way to welcome the Easter holidays! The Easter bunny visited ISG this afternoon and all the pupils were very excited to fill their Easter baskets! Afterwards we all gathered together for a shared snack with music and a lovely little performance from the Pre-Primary pupils. Parents can see more photos in the photo gallery. Enjoy the Easter break everyone!
