Building Project

Our Grand Opening.

On Friday 9th September, 2016, we celebrated the official opening of our new school building. The event was a big success with representatives from companies from East and West Flanders, important stakeholders and of course friends and families from our local and school community. A warm sunny evening, children performing, live jazz and Belgian fries - the perfect way to celebrate this exciting next chapter for ISG!

Our amazing new school!

On the 1st of September, 2016, we opened the doors to our brand new school building. With large classrooms, a sports hall, music and language rooms, performance area and plenty of outside space for playing, we are excited to be able to call this our permanent home in Ghent. The investment in this modern learning facility reflects the success of ISG since opening in 2012 and the importance of having an International School serving East and West Flanders. Call us if you would like to come and visit!

Building update!

Our new school building on De Pintelaan is looking fantastic! Floors are being laid and walls are being plastered. The original brick buildings on the site having been brought back to life and will house our school library, sports hall and office space. The new L-shaped structure sitting beside it will have Pre-Primary classes on the ground floor and Primary classes on the first floor, and will also include a large lunch room and other spaces for music and language classes. Everything is on track for us to open on September 1st. We are very excited!

The main door is situated in the corridor linking the old renovated building to the left and the new structure on the right.
The concrete floors have been poured, ready for the final layer.
This will be our lunch room which then connects directly to the outside play area.

Our new school @ 258 De Pintelaan!

Building work continues to progress very well at our new school building at 258 De Pintelaan. Internal works including cabling, ventilation and insulation have started and the external brickwork is also nearly complete. Work on replacing the roof of the sports hall has begun and plans are well underway for the internal fittings and furniture. We are looking forward to moving in during the summer to start the new school year on September 1st!
